A RAM 1500 TRX pickup truck was presented in America. It is the most powerful and fastest vehicle in its segment.
External differences of RAM 1500 TRX: hood with central air intake; the wheel arch widened for the track increased by 150 mm; Goodyear Wrangler Territory (325/65 R18) specialty tires; colored headlights; black radiator grille. The car has increased: ground clearance of 50 mm – now 300 mm; underbody protection (includes crankcase, gas tank, transfer case and front axle).
The pickup has a hood, side doors, front suspension gearbox and subframe, engine and transmission power guard, cargo door, front lever and an aluminum steering gear. The pickup becomes 200 mm wider; lifting capacity reaches 594 kg.
It can tow trailers weighing up to 3.67 tons and overcoming obstacles up to a depth of 813 mm. Improved geometric graduation: entry angle of 30.2 degrees; exit and ramp – 23.5 and 21.9 degrees, respectively.
The cabin of the RAM 1500 TRX has a sport steering wheel cut from the bottom rims. The leather trim is highlighted with red stitching. There are Alcantara inserts on the steering wheel, doors and center armrest.
List of equipment: six air bags; 12 “center screen with navigation; Harman Kardon audio system with 900 watts and nineteen speakers; versatile camera. There is a paddle shifter for fast gear changes, a traditional automatic transmission selector installed in place of the washing machine, and a carbon fiber insert is offered as an option.
ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
This pickup is equipped with a Hemi V8 6.2 compressor engine with a capacity of 712 horses and 881 Nm, paired with 8 automatic transmissions. The TRX Ram accelerates from rest to 97 km / h in 4.5 seconds, and 160 km / h in 10.5 seconds. The pickup covered a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds, top speed of 190 km / h.
Whereas previously the Ford F-150 Raptor had no specific competitors, now the 1500 TRX RAM has surpassed it in every way. For example, the Raptor has a 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost under the hood with a capacity of 456 horses and 691 Nm. Now he can catch up with high-end RAM only with the help of a tuner.
This pickup is equipped with Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shock absorbers with external reservoir and independent compression and bounce adjustment, as well as other springs. Suspension travel has increased by 40% over the previous version and now exceeds 330 mm.
The front axle has 381 mm brake discs, which are considered the largest in its class. The frame is seriously strengthened, the rear axle of the Dana 66 is equipped with an electronically controlled lock and the transfer case has been modified.
PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The car was manufactured at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. Order acceptance for new products has been opened. In the US, the start of sales of the PAM 1500 TPX is scheduled for late 2020.
Initially, buyers will be offered a welcome version of the Launch Edition pickup truck priced at $ 90,265, produced in a limited number of 702 US specification horsepower vehicles. The vehicle will only be painted in Anvil Gray and will be offered in maximum TR2 trim levels.
The price of the regular version of the Ram 1500 TRX is $ 71,690. That’s $ 13,555 more than the current Ford F-150 Raptor with the same cabin. More than a hundred accessories are available for the new pickup to personalize the vehicle, improve off-road performance and increase practicality.
